Mont Blanc

Mont Blanc or Monte Bianco (French and Italian, respectively, meaning white mountain) is the highest mountain in the Alps and in Western Europe.It rises 4,810 m (15,781 ft above sea level and is ranked 11th in the world in topographic prominence. It is also sometimes known as "La Dame Blanche" (French, the white lady).

  1. The world's most remote school is Kiwirrkurra Remote community School in Australia. It is a 25 hour road journey from the nearest major town.

    Another remote school in the same region, Oombulgurri Remote community School, can only get there by light aircraft or by barge. The aircraft takes 35 minutes, while the barge can take up to 12 hours.
